instatalk: Is abstaining beneficial?

Thanks to producer DeVon Franklin and wife and actress Meagan Good, abstaining before marriage has become a hot topic lately. Their new book, The Wait, has made its round on the net, facilitating quite a few conversations around the notion that couples should abstain from all sexual activity until marriage. Both DeVon and Meagan have touted the method’s benefits, such as deeper emotional connection and a greater sense of security in their relationship. We’re chatting about it today on Instagram. how i felt when i realized i cared what men thought about my hair

“I love your hair because I don’t know any other woman with that style. It’s unique.” These were the words of my then boyfriend who ran his fingers through my Grace Jones-inspired curls. I’d been wearing it super short for about six months when we met. I’d also been fighting a nasty bout of dermatitis, which caused some hair loss and generally made my hair regimen miserable.
